Your Ultimate Weight Loss Diet Plan By: Makabongwe Maseko
Many people like to give the reason for their weight problem as being medical and whilst it is true there are a small number of medical conditions like an under active thyroid or a hormonal imbalance which can contribute to weight gain, excess food consumption is by far the most likely reason for putting on weight. However, there are foods that help with weight loss and controlling weight generally if you are prepared to take responsibility for your weight. Some foods help control weight whilst others actively promote the burning of excess body fat. There are now quite a number of foods that help weight loss and are also enjoyable with some of these listed here.
You should try meals that have a variety of vegetables and although all will be good for you there are some that are better when it comes to weight loss like peas, boiled beans, cabbage and brussels. Any spaghetti meal that has tomato sauce is going to be good for you and if you want to add some meat to go with it then why not the low fat, low cholesterol veal. White fish has long been known to be healthy but it is also good for weight maintenance as well especially if you have this with vegetables that have been steamed and even mash potatoes have a low calorie count. You can even eat fresh sweet cheese providing it is low fat but yoghurt; porridge and even dark rice are healthy weight loss foods.
Fruit is also a weight loss food whilst providing many essential minerals and nutrients but they are also good for the health of the metabolism. For instance, water melons may be primarily water but they are still very good for the health of the metabolism as are kiwi fruit and strawberries. People who exercise regularly should not need to worry too much about the high calorie content of figs and bananas but they are not an ideal weight loss food although grapes are. As for vegetables, cucumbers, tomatoes, celery and lettuce are among the favorites when it comes to long-term dietary plans.
If you want to lose weight then you need to stay away from unhealthy weight gaining foods like cakes, puddings, chocolate and fast or convenient foods full of processed ingredients. Most foods are now available in ‘health option' versions which are low in fat content and whilst this is going to be better for you it does not mean these are truly healthy foods. Low-fat foods are not necessarily a bad thing but that is not the end of the subject so before you include low-fat versions of all your favorite foods, check the labels carefully as you may find you will not lose weight at all.
