Language Learning Software By: Kate Zimms
Ok so you are looking for some language learning software to help with learning a new language. Congratulations this is a great way to learn. Especially, if you are not suited to the classroom environment.
Today, there are some really advanced language learning software programs available and at an affordable price too. You can learn your language, at the pace you want, where you want and how you want.
Most of my learning takes place in the car, or out walking with my mp3. It is so much more pleasurable than sitting in a classroom at nights or on the weekends. You can even learn while you are in bed!
But besides your software, there are lots of other free things you can do to rocket your language learning experience and also add to the fun. Here are some, make sure you take advantage of them. And if you have made the investment or are about to, then I'm sure some free online resources will come in handy and be welcome.
Websites In Your Chosen Language.
Search in the language you are learning, for things that you like. You will then see all the websites that you can browse and become familiar with. Just relax and get a feel for the words that keep recurring.
Online Radio Shows.
Ok so you may not be able to understand a word, but you will be getting to hear the accents and you will be surprised how you will start to pick up things. You can hear almost any countries radio station on the internet these days. So just play them in the background.
Online Newspapers.
These are a great source of fun. They have pictures and you can just browse through what interests you. Often you will see the main international news and so you will have a general idea of what the article is about.
Online Dictionary and Translation Services. Actually this is the first thing you should do. Go and find a good online dictionary and translation service and bookmark them. The Google Babel Fish is a great tool for this. You can put a whole article in and have it translated in seconds. Or just single words.
Finally Online Chat Rooms.
Find some chat rooms around a subject or hobby that you have an interest in, in the language you are learning. Try to visit a couple of times a week and read through some of the posts.

I have tried lots of them but this one was not only one of the cheapest, but definitely the most user friendly. I have had great success, and now am on my third language with them, (I like to travel and love to be able to use the language of the country I travel to, it just adds to the fun.)
