These popular store rooms are about 10 feet wide by 5 feet deep, and are just perfect for small businesses looking for an area to store extra files and supplies, or for families where extra storage is required. Other frequently leased storage room sizes are 10 feet by 10 feet (about the same size as a child's bedroom), 10 feet by 20 feet, 15 feet by 20 feet, and 20 feet by 20 feet, where even two mid-sized cars can fit. Usually windowless, these store rooms are also wrapped in walls with corrugated metal. Roll-up metal doors about the same size as car garage doors are also pretty much standard issue in the self storage business, with each unit lockable by the actual renter.

Pretty much anything is allowed to be stored in rented store rooms, as long as the items are non-hazardous, non-toxic, and non-perishable. Furnitures and appliances, personal effects, store inventories, and even motorcycles are the most common items kept in these self storage rooms. Be mindful though with regards to your rent, as failure to pay may result in a lien placed on your goods, later to be sold at auctions.
