We need to do all that we can, to develop technologies, which are behind geothermal free energy generation. This area has not yet been probed very deeply, but it has huge potential, as it is available from mother earth. Enormous quantities of free energy lie under the upper crust of the earth, on which we lie, and all that is needed is to tap the source and take control over it.

The temperature at the hub of the earth is 60 times greater than the temperature at which water boils and this tremendous heat develop pressure, which exist only a few miles underground. These forces contain huge quantities of free energy and superheated fluids in the form of magma, which we see in the power and energy of whenever there is a volcanic eruption. These fluids also come up to the surface of the earth as steam and erupt from vents.

We could also make these vents and at the same time build appropriate chambers where the magma can be held for later conversion to free energy, which would develop electricity to light or heat up our homes. To create a geo-thermal plant, a well needs to be dug in an area with abundant source of magma or heated fluid, then a pipe has to be used to bring up the fluid on to the surface level to get the necessary steam power. The steam would operate a turbine, which in turn would generate electrical energy.

There are unfavorable judgments of geothermic energy tapping which prevents it being implemented on the large scale which it should be. Critics say that exploration to find a resourceful area is too costly and takes up too much time. Then setting up a geothermic power station is also very expensive, with no assurance of any future profits. It might be found that a geo-thermal site is ultimately not making enough steam to make the plant feasible or promising.

Several conservationists are of the opinion that when you bring out magma, it is workable that some dangerous materials also accompany it. However the benefits of geothermic energy far outweighs such remarks if only we explored it deeper. The truth of the matter is that since this energy is produced by earth itself, it cannot contain any important pollutants. geo-thermal free energy can be extremely productive and it does not take great efforts to produce it once the site is chosen and the plant set up.

geo-thermal plants, moreover, do not need to be as large as electric plants, giant dams, or atomic energy facilities - the surroundings would be less disrupted. Using this alternate source of energy would naturally reduce our dependency on fossil fuels. The most fundamental point in the favor of geothermal energy is that we would never run it out and nor would its value appreciate with time, as it is an endless source. Since in the end the use of geothermal free energy is cost-effective the cost of building the energy plant can be recovered in no time.
