Digital Photography For Your Wedding Day By: Suta
The wedding day is probably the top moment for people to try and keep and why not. Because of this, the vast majority of couple arrange for a digital wedding photographer to be there for the most important part of the day.
Most wedding photographers have assistants so they can create a wedding album that will be memorable but if you want to take pictures of a friend's wedding, who will help you?Fortunately for wedding photographers they can use an assistant to help them get the right shots but if you're a friend taking pictures, then how do you take good shots of the day?If you want to take photographs of your friend's or relations wedding then you will have to do it on your own because you won't have an assistant like the professionals have. Here are some tips if you find yourself at a friend or relations wedding taking photos with your digital camera.
Most importantly try to ensure you don't have poor background scenery and that there aren't too many people in the shot. Often when there is a good background there are just too many people in the shot, so if this is the situation, just try and capture a nice head and shoulders shot of the couple.
Spectacled guests can be a problem as glare from their glasses obscures their eyes and reflects back at the camera. To avoid people in the shot coming out dark when the sunlight is behind them, unless you know what you are doing, move them so the sun is behind you.
Where possible, try to capture shots that are natural and candid as these always look so natural when viewed later; one way to do this is to use the cameras optical zoom. To avoid missing what will probably be great shots, don't put your camera down because with digital wedding photography you can guarantee the moment you do, something worthwhile will take place.
All your efforts will be wasted if you forget to have fresh batteries or carry enough memory for your digital camera to take every image from the day. A one gigabyte card should be the bare minimum you have if your camera is a six mega pixel model, a larger capacity if the camera has a higher mega pixel rating.
The reason you need to set the cameras resolution to the maximum is because the colors will be richer and if you want to enlarge the photos, it won't be a problem. To ensure your pictures are safe and ready to print, save them as soon as possible to your computer's hard drive and create a CD you can present to the couple.
The success you have with your shots and your digital wedding photography will depend on two things, your feelings for the couple and the love of photography itself.
